Monday 31st March - Quick Round Up

This are notes on the podcast. Click here for direct link to iTunes or here for more info. The feed is here.

A very quick round up of the first and second division and also a full match report of Santa Tecla v Vendaval.

This is where I have been and I would heartly recommend it:- La Mariposa, Nicaragua. I also recommend this book by the owner of the hotel, which articulates a lot of what I have been trying to think about the last couple of years. First icon for UK, second for USA. Enjoy.

Santa Tecla v Sonsonate
An enjoyable yet frustrating afternoon at a calm but busy Las Delicias as Sonsonate must be happiest with the goalless draw. The home side were simply not incisive enough, we saw some fine work down the right, but ultimatley Bernal's decision making and/or execution always let him down. Owing to the state of the pitch it was hard for Santa Tecla to play football on the ground as they normally try to, and we saw a lot of long hopeful balls. Both teams had chances to clinch it, but failed to capitalise. Santa Tecla showed once again their solid defence, but once again came up against a team sporting a big centre back who was a wall all afternoon. Santa Tecla 0 - Sonsonate 0
