Come on Vista !
Thanks for the West Brom song. Possibly the best song I've ever heard. Seriously.
Some easier questions this week.
Joe Royle was the last English manager to win it (with Everton in '95), previous to big Arry. Anyone watching the BBC coverage would have been able to answer this as it was mentioned every two minutes.
The last final without the gruesome foursome was Tottenham vs Notts Forest in 1991.
The other questions I don't know.
"Debasement" is a strong word, but not inaccurate regarding league playoffs in the Americas and in lower divisions in the UK. Three up, three down... the way God intended.
Quiz question 1)
Hungary in 1954, East Germany in 1974, and Italy in 1978 each beat the eventual winners of the respective World Cups in group play (West Germany - 1954, West Germany - 1974, Argentina - 1978).
