Pumas UNAM 6 - 0 San Francisco FC
Houston Dynamo v CD Luis Angel Firpo - 26th Nov
Pumas UNAM of Mexico go through and San Francisco FC of Panama are eliminated. In the final game the winner goes through, the loser is eliminated. In the case of a draw CD Luis Angel Firpo of El Salvador will go to quarter-finals and Houston Dynamo of USA will be eliminated.

Atlante FC 2 - 1 Impact de Montreal
Atlante FC of Mexico and Impact de Montreal of Canada go through to quarter-finals, CD Olimpia of Honduras and Joe Public of Trinidad & Tobago are eliminated.

Tauro FC 2 - 2 Puerto Rico Islanders
CSD Municipal 4 - 4 Club Santos Laguna
Club Santos Laguna of Mexico and Puerto Rico Islanders of Puerto Rico go through, Tauro FC of Panama and CSD Municipal of Guatemala are eliminated.

The Quarter-Finals:- 24-25-26 February & 3-4-5 March 2009
The Semi-Finals:- 17-18-19 March & 7-8-9 April 2009
The Final:- 21-22-23 April & 28-29-60 April 2009
The winners will represent the North & Central and Caribbean region (CONCACAF) in the FIFA Club World Cup in December 2009, in the United Arab Emirates.

The 2008 World Club Cup will be in Japan between 11th and 21st December 2008, CONCACAF represented by Pachuca of Mexico, and clear favourites this time are Manchester United (ENG) of UEFA. Full list of qualifying clubs.

Gigantic, indeed. Brilliant. Great song selections, as well.

The years have been kind to Paco. I think the way he has maintained his fitness is a testament to his commitment to the game.

The idea of a player being fined and suspended for defending himself against a pitch-invading fan is preposterous.

I would have preferred that Cruz Azul have gone through in a more decisive fashion, but I'll take it.

Very much looking forward to the forthcoming interviews.

Yes indeed, in fact I reckon that if you stood Paco Palencia next to young Martin Bravo you would not be able to tell them apart...

My instincts are to agree with you about Pacheco, but he DID break the bloke's nose!
